A Gathering of Gardeners, hosted by the Master Gardeners of CCE Orange County. Based upon the book Bringing Nature Home and the teachings of Dr. Douglas W. Tallamy, this lecture takes a closer look at the Lepidoptera species indigenous to Orange County and the host plants that support them in their larval stages. Also included will be information regarding the necessary nectar plants to support and nourish the adults of the species. We will also talk about the various song- birds and small mammals that are attracted to the garden when these insects are present as a food source.
