NYBG Continuing Ed Dept (GAR 243). Ornamental grasses have become increasingly popular with gardeners, landscapers and conservationists over the past several years. Low maintenance, drought-tolerance and hardiness are some of the traits that make grasses so desirable. Learn the cultural requirements, site criteria, and ornamental features of both native and non-native species. A tour of Bard College`s ornamental grasses will conclude the class. With Amy Parrella, Bard College Arboretum Dir. & Hort Supervisor.
